A customer of ours, Pastor Mike Tate, came into work today. I gave him my praise report & he, I & another woman just testified, recited Scripture & praised God together! I swear I felt the presence of God in that grungy little building today. My boss who watched from B'ham on camera probably thought we were crazy! Just wanted to share. lol.

The presence of God is omnipresent. After all, we were created in the image and called to be in the likeness of the creator. Take up your cross, deny yourself, and follow him.

So glad to be reading this, There has been many a time when I was traveling back a long time ago that either we couldn't find a church we liked or just plum didn't feel like looking for one in a strange town. So me and several other dogmen would have our own church in our motel rooms or folks homes we was staying at.
Anyone, Even just 2 people...Like husband and wife or mother and children can have church right there in your home and the good Lord loves to see that.
And what I really enjoyed reading, Was the fact that your boss didn't try and throw some kind of fit about it. Sounds like you have a very level headed employer there.

Well, everyone in the shop is a Christian & our GM in B'ham is a preacher. Plus, we live in the buckle of the Bible belt, so I have yet to have anyone complain. Our shop is unlike others. It is a modest little place with a family feel. The GM lets us do things that would be unheard of in other corperate places. We have a "In God We Trust" poster in our waiting room year round & we were allowed to put up a Nativity Scene in the waiting room for Christmas. I am also allowed to out tracts & the Christian magazine "Signs of the Times" in the waiting room as well. So when it comes to that, we are blessed.

Blessed indeed.
I was talking to some preachers from Washington, Per capita they stated that Washington as a state has the fewest churches in the U.S.A. He was telling me that it wasn't that there was no people who wanted to go to church and the like, But the powers that be our there don't give permits out to build new churches and they have influence over them even buying existing buildings and using them as churches.
He even said that if they need permits to fix up the few churches that do exist there, They very rarely get those and when they do they have to jump through hoops to get them.
So blessed indeed you are to work in such a nice environment, You are indeed the envy of many many people working in this country as well as in several countries around the world.

It is a very sad situation.
If anyone wants more information on the matter or would like to see if they could use your expertise or that in any way, The name of the institute is called the sunset international bible institute.
Recently with the help of Governor Rick Perry and some of the other friends I have in politics we helped them get authorized by the great state of Texas to grant them the power to issue religious degrees. This was previously not able to be done and it was a very tough process to get through, But the Lord blessed us and we got it done. They can now issue Masters and Bachelor degrees in biblical studies, Which is great and it also helps the graduates of that school start churches or keep churches afloat that would other wise close down due to lack of either members or a preacher.
Another thing I have been working close with them on is sending preachers who just graduated the college to churches that are on the verge of closure due to lack of funding. I and several other people have personally sent new preachers to churches in small town across the country and abroad to preach and with them we sent a $50,000 check to use as they see fit to establish and maintain a church. And they have a promise from the institute that no matter what, They will receive a weekly check so that they can keep up their households and stay at the church regardless of donations from the small congregations who might only consist of 15 or 25 members. Since I have partnered with them and started this program we have saved over 35 rural churches who were on the verge of shutting down due to ill repair or preachers being forced to leave due to lack of funds to keep their families fed and afford the basic needs of everyday life.
It is really a wonderful school.
They don't charge students a dime to attend there and they teach people from around the world how to go and spread the Lords word. I went to a dinner in Midland Texas here not to long ago for them, And it was really something to see the good that they do. There was a couple there who fled Egypt, There was 3 generations in that family who all fled Egypt. There was a husband and wife, His grown son and his wife and then his 3 grandkids.
But they fled because they were all going to be put to death...Including the kids. But they fled and found a safe place in this school, They helped them get into the country legally and then helped them with housing and everything like that. And now the 2 men of that family are training to be preachers and go and spread the word of God.
But they have schools in Lubbock and in Washington, And if you have the time to talk to them and look at their website they really are a great school who does all sorts of good for literally everyone they can.
