It depends on who you talk to. Some say Nero, some say certain world or religious leaders. Others that he is entirely symbolic and is not an actual person at all. All how you interpret the word. Everyone has an opinion when it comes to the bible. Thing most people forget is that the church lived and grew (under immense persecution) for centuries before the bible was in existence. The church was the interpretation. The living, breathing vessel of God's grace. Now you have a billion churches , all differing, by their own understanding of that which is supposed to unite us in love. The word of God.

True. You'd be supprised of the differences in theology that occur just from slight differences in vonacular. And almost every new "translation" is one that "clarifies" the meaning to everyone else. The early church did/does have a method of transferring the faith delivered to the apostles from God himself...Its called holy tradition orthodoxwiki.org/Holy_Tradition. Amen
